Medical Cannabis and Affirmative Defense
Dear friends, I am sure many of you are frustrated just as I have been, with all
the red tape and absolute BS we have to go through to get access to our medicine
of choice. I do know any law that says a medicine working for any person in need,
is not WRONG. That means the law is wrong and we all know it! My family and I
are a refugee family. I would advise others in illegal states, if time is running out,
you may have to move to your closest medical cannabis state. It is not easy to leave
family and friends but when someone's life depends on it as in my case and many
others, it may be your only option. If you have time to ride out the tide that is moving
very quickly now, you stand a better chance of being able to stay in your home. If you
have an "affirmative defense" which could either be a medical cannabis card from any
state or medical records substantiating cannabis treatment for your disease or disorder
you have a VERY good defense if caught in possession or home growing, illegally. This does NOT take away the danger of minors being removed from homes, however! Before
we moved cross country I used to carry my medical records documenting my medical cannabis use in my illegal state, just in case! This is a personal decision for all and there
are many variables to take into consideration. Please remember that you are never alone,
as there are many of us walking together on this journey of medical cannabis access for ALL! <3 nbsp="" p="">
