Doctor explains risks and treatment options for epilepsy

Epilepsy is the fourth most common neurological condition in America. It affects 1/26 Americans.Dr. Pradeep Modur from Seton Brain and Spine Institute joined KXAN News Today Saturday to to help us understand more about epilepsy and some of the new and exciting treatment options available for patients.

The condition is a brain infection that causes recurrent seizures due to abnormal brain electrical activity. Treatment for seizures usually consists of medication, dieting, psychiatric or surgery.
