Won't Remember
I probably won't remember your name,
I just know we are somehow connected all the same.
I know you have been regretfully hurt,
I know people may have been rude or even curt.
I know life as we know it can change in a second,
I know life today can be filled with stigma and shun.
I know life today can somehow seem less filled with fun.
I know strife and heartache take quite a big toll,
I know it is hard to let go of self and welcome any unwanted role.
I also know that until I embrace this new and brand new me,
I will never be able to give myself credit for paying such a life fee.
I probably won't remember your name,
I thought I was alone but found we are connected all the same.
