There Were Days
There were days I didn't think I could handle the struggle,
Those were the days I most resented this injury to my skull.
There were days I didn't think I could make it through,
Those were the days I needed others encouraging point of view.
There were some days I thought I may be better off dead,
Those were the days I realized I was just hanging on by a thread.
There were many hard and frustrating days during my journey,
Those were the days I learned how many of us were paying this fee.
There were also many unforeseen blessings all along the way,
These were the days that reminded me of how important it was to pray.
