It Felt Like I Walked Alone
It felt like I walked all alone, in a great deal of need.
It felt like it was a rough road made of dirt and weeds.
I never knew where this road would one day finally lead,
I did know I had to keep going or I couldn't possibly succeed.
I met too many that lived by no honorable creed.
I noticed too many were just interested in greed.
I noticed a world where many needed to be freed.
I noticed the vulnerable were consistently bullied.
I noticed so many faces looking much too worried.
I saw many that wobbled and needed help being steadied.
I saw a world in pain and I wonder how many conceded.
I felt like I walked all alone, in a great deal of need.
I noticed the people along my journey unsure of how to proceed.
I realized eventually I was no longer walking alone in need.
I realized there were people needing comfort all around me.
