Women with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder

Women with posttraumatic stress disorder face many of the same issues as men when it comes to figuring out how to reclaim your sense of power. Or, as I also like to call it, your sense of “I matter!”

At the bottom of PTSD recovery it’s really all about being human: whether you’re male or female with symptoms of PTSD you’re struggling with loss of safety, control, self, life, career or any of the other many losses trauma creates.
How do you regain a sense of empowerment that you can use both in recovery and also in recreating your life? That was the question Kate Tate — that’s her in the pic to the left — (founder of the Women with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder fanpage on Facebook) and I recently discussed live on my radio show,CHANGING DIRECTION.
